David Predny

David Predny has over 40 years experience in the legal profession and has been the principal of Fowler Predny Solicitors since it was established in Morisset in 1990. Before coming to Morisset, he worked as a solicitor specialising in Personal Injury and Family Law.

David is the senior solicitor at Fowler Predny Legal. He is admitted to practice in the Supreme Courts of New South Wales and Queensland and in the High Court of Australia.

He is experienced in many aspects of law, however these days he mainly focusses on Estate Planning, Wills and contested Estate claims, Family Law, Litigation, Conveyancing, and Commercial property sales and Leasing.

David graduated from the University of Sydney with a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) in 1980 and was admitted to the Supreme Court of NSW in 1981. He briefly moved to Brisbane in 1982 where he gained valuable experience in the litigation department of one of the oldest city law firms, moving back to Newcastle and Lake Macquarie in 1984 after his marriage. He worked with a Newcastle litigation practice and a Lake Macquarie firm where he expanded his knowledge base and gained wide ranging experience in many areas of legal practice.

Since becoming the principal of Fowler Predny Solicitors in 1990 he has conducted an extremely varied legal practice and honed his skills in everything from conducting routine conveyancing matters to complex Supreme Court proceedings and ‘pretty much everything in between’.

David prides himself in thinking outside the square to find solutions for legal dilemmas.

David believes that there is no substitute for experience when it comes to providing sound practical advice to his clients.

Other than the time spent at university and working in Brisbane, David has lived in the Newcastle and Lake Macquarie region his whole life. He and wife, Robyn are the proud parents of four children (who have successful careers in medicine, the law, cyber security and the performing arts).

David understands the unique legal needs of people from all walks of life and has found great satisfaction from helping several generations of families from the local area.
